Laikyn is 19 years old and born in May of 2000. She was born and raised in Regina Saskatchewan and graduated Miller Catholic High School in the class of 2018. She earned many awards throughout her High School career such as Academic High Honors all four years, Dramatic arts, choral, musical theater, acting awards and four leadership awards for her school. She was heavily involved in the arts at Miller partaking in an improv team that traveled to Nationals three times, Pom/Dance team, a praise and worship group that performed at school masses and worship festivals, Miller’s Musical productions in which she landed 3 lead rolls, one being “Belle”in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and lastly, being apart of the 2017 and 2018 One Act Play Festivals. In the fall, Laikyn attended the University of Regina studying biology and theater/music in hopes to one day study Marine biology or musical theater. Laikyn enjoys and has passions for many different activities in many different areas such as the dramatic arts, singing, acting, guitar, drama, dance, musical theater, song writing, animals, worship and youth groups at her parish, spending time with friends and family, traveling, and the ocean and marine studies.


Some of Laikyn’s greatest accomplishments include performing at Saskatchewan’s annual Telemiricale tell-a-thon and raised over $1000 for charity that gives to adult and children with special needs, performing her original songs at Regina’s Cathedral Art festival in 2016 and 2018, traveling to improv nationals in Ottawa and placing 5th in the county, traveling to places such as Europe, United Kingdom, Asia, and all around the United States, playing Belle, one of her favourite Disney Princess in her Senior Year of High School, and lastly, attending school in the United States to study marine biology. 


Laikyn’s family is involve in a rescue foundation called Regina Cat Rescue and has helped over 50 kittens and cats get adopted over the last two years. She also loves children and has volunteered at her Church for many years at bible camp, guiding the young children and deepening their faith with God. Laikyn has a love for traveling and wants to travel lots in her life. She has learned so much about different cultures, and life lessons from all her experience traveling as a young adult and has had opportunities to give back to schools and people in need along the way. One of her dreams is to partake in a missions trip where she can give back to the less fortunate. She hopes this pageant will help her gain the Confidence she has always wanted, as well as show her talents and to challenge young girls to get outside their comfort zones and reach for their dreams.
