Jasmine is currently enrolled to begin her first year in a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology at the University of York, in Toronto ON. She has achieved honours roll in her classes every year of high school, as well as participated and led many school clubs. Jasmine was a key member of the leadership group at her high school in Rocky Mountain House AB, which led her to aid organize a fundraiser with Buick, in order to raise money to help the schools in her home town of Rocky Mountain House. At the age of 15, Jasmine moved to Calgary AB on her own accord, in order to further pursue her French studies in school. This led her to not only complete the 30 level French course in grade 10, but also to become the leader of her new school’s Volunteer Society club. With this club, she planned and coordinated many events, which raised monetary and non-monetary donations for many charities, such as disaster relief through ShelterBox Canada. As well as volunteering through school, Jasmine started volunteering in a retirement home when she was fourteen, due to her intense passion for aiding those around her. With the help of the seniors residing in the home, she put together a presentation about the Great Depression for her grade 7 social class, which led her to compete at the provincial level for the Telling of Canadian History. An Honour List student and fluent French speaker, Jasmine also loves to play volleyball and board games, work as a car detailer and spend time with friends, family and her dog.
