Born and raised in the sunny town of Osoyoos, British Columbia. In 2011 Chelsea was diagnosed with a rare connective tissue disorder; which is one of the main reasons why Chelsea chose to take part in the Miss Canada Petite Pageant. She hopes to not only raise awareness of rare diseases but to be a source of inspiration as well as a role model for the rare disease community. Another reason why Chelsea entered the pageant is that she loves to challenge herself to try new and interesting things in order to help foster positive self-growth. She feels that striving to better oneself is a never ending journey. Chelsea hopes to one day take her passion for personal development and turn it into a career by becoming a Life Coach. Until then Chelsea is a nanny, something that she has done since 2012. Chelsea hopes to be a positive influence for the children she nannies and takes great pride in knowing she is making a difference in the lives of the next generation. In her free time Chelsea loves acting, whistling, taking photos to capture memories and showcase them on Social Media. One her other passions is being involved with Toastmasters. Chelsea has been an active member of South Okanagan Toastmasters since 2015 and has served as Vice President of Public Relations for 3 consecutive terms. Chelsea takes pride in being an active member of her community and she hopes to make her hometown proud by bringing Canada’s warmest welcome with her when she travels to Ontario for the pageant. A phrase that Chelsea loves is “Beauty without Diminishment” [the motto of BC] as she feels that beauty can be seen anywhere, in everything, and within every person.
