Born and raised in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador, 16 year old Tamara is the youngest of four siblings.  She currently attends school at Mealy Mountain Collegiate where she is an Honour Roll student.  She will be heading to grade 11 in September.
Tamara enjoys playing soccer and hockey and is also very involved in dance, which includes ballet, pointe, acro and lyrical.  She enjoys spending time with family and friends.  She volunteers for the annual Labrador Canoe Regatta each year, has fundraised for mental health programs in her community and is also recipient of the Kathy O’Brien French Award, which is given to the overall French student.  By entering the pageant she is hoping to boost her own self confidence and to show others that they too can do the same thus opening up opportunities for those who struggle with confidence.  She seeks to meet new people from all over our great country and gain lifelong friendships.
Tamara’s future plans are to become a social worker to try and make a difference in the lives of those that need help. She wants to become a mental health awareness advocate, visit a war torn country and help with financial aid. When asked to describe Tamara, her peers described her as personable, smart, beautiful, intelligent, friendly, kind, talkative, happy and talented to name a few. She will truly make a great contribution to Miss Teen Canada Globe.
Tamara wishes to thank everyone in her community that has helped her in achieving her goal to be able to attend Miss Teen Canada Globe.
